PXG

PXG was founded in 2014 with a single mandate: build the best golf clubs possible, regardless of cost or convention. The brand emerged from entrepreneur Bob Parsons commissioning a small team of engineers to develop equipment that pushed performance beyond what was commercially typical, using premium materials, intensive R&D, and a design philosophy centred on maximising forgiveness, feel, and consistency.

That ethos runs through the entire product range. PXG clubs are engineered with precision-positioned weighting systems, including adjustable tungsten weights on many models, allowing fitters to fine-tune launch conditions, spin rate, and shot shape for each individual player. Where most clubs are built to general specifications and sold off the shelf, PXG designs its hardware specifically for the fitting process. The adjustability isn't cosmetic; it's structural to how the clubs perform.

The current lineup at GolfStar Direct includes the Lightning series, drivers, fairway woods, and hybrids built around high-MOI heads and frequency-tuned faces for improved energy transfer and ball speed, alongside the GEN8 0311 iron range, which spans player's distance and game-improvement profiles to suit a wide range of swing types and handicaps. Custom Fit options are available across the range, ordered to your exact specifications through our fitting process.

PXG occupies a distinct position in the premium market: technically demanding equipment that rewards a proper fitting, made accessible through authorised retail partners. If you've been considering a club upgrade and want something built to your numbers rather than a generic spec, PXG is worth serious consideration.
